​Around 2000, our founder, Mingsong Qiu, had already been engaged in injection molding to support mold trials in his independent workshop before TIANTEC’s official founding . Over two decades of continuous refinement have transformed this capability into one of TIANTEC’s core strengths.
Today, we deliver both small-batch manual production and fully automated mass manufacturing with equal excellence. We specialize in demanding insert molding and overmolding applications, ensuring exceptional bond strength, precise positioning, and optimized production efficiency.
Our commitment to quality is uncompromising. Every project undergoes a triple inspection process: supported by 14 key visual checkpoints for defects such as short shots, flash, sink marks, and weld lines etc.

Overmolding

Overmolding is not simply plastic molding. It requires the precise integration of multiple materials, secondary molding accuracy, and cycle time control. Challenges often arise in material compatibility, dimensional stability, and interfacial bonding.
At TIANTEC, we bring extensive project experience in overmolding, backed by strict standards in material selection, surface preparation, positioning accuracy, temperature control, runner design, and mold venting—ensuring reliable performance and superior results.

Insert Molding

Insert molding is similar to overmolding, involving the placement of metal or other components into the mold for secondary molding, which is a core strength of TIANTEC. This process poses significant challenges in precise insert positioning, bond strength, and mold protection, which we continuously focus on.
At TIANTEC, we apply stringent positioning accuracy requirements to prevent functional failures and cosmetic defects. Through thorough material analysis and optimized surface treatment methods, we deliver the best bonding solutions to enhance the structural integrity between components.

High-Precision Small-Scale Molding

As product dimensions shrink, manufacturing challenges increase. The same absolute deviation accounts for a larger proportion at smaller scales. To meet these demands, we employ micro-EDM (μ-EDM) for ultra-precise mold development and focus on accurate shrinkage compensation throughout the project. During injection molding, we precisely control temperature, pressure, injection time, and cooling time to achieve the optimal balance between quality and production efficiency.

Thin-Wall Molding

Thin-wall products place extremely high demands on molds, injection machines, and processing technology. By focusing on optimized filling speed, precise cooling control, and high mold accuracy, we effectively overcome the challenges of difficult cavity filling, warpage, and flash during production.

High-Surface-Quality Products

In high-value products, stringent appearance and specialized surface requirements are common. This demands exceptional stability in process, mold, material, and environment. Cosmetics was one of TIANTEC’s original business areas, where controlling surface defects is integrated into every aspect of production. Strict standards are applied to high-grade cavity polishing, concealed parting line design, precise venting channels, and material impurity control and drying.

Typical Project Cases

Tool Handle with Tri-Color Overmolding

Made from a combination of rigid PA66 and TPE, balancing chemical compatibility and mechanical interlocking. Yield was improved from 72% at other injection molding suppliers to 96%, significantly reducing costs and increasing production efficiency.

Mid-Size Power Tool Overmolded Handle

This product has a relatively large volume with significant shrinkage variations. By balancing wall thickness and rib design in the mold, while ensuring uniform cooling, we achieved a final yield rate of over 98%.

Small-Size Precision Lighting Bracket

This project required extremely high dimensional accuracy and tight tolerance control, with lens-to-bracket tolerances as strict as 0.03 mm. Any defective lenses would result in significant cost losses. Our ultra-high yield ultimately reduced customer costs by more than 22%.

Transparent Mirror-Finish Spiral Cap

A typical product requiring both high surface quality and high dimensional precision. Through high-precision mold manufacturing, strict process control, and a clean production environment, we achieved consistently high yield rates.

Two-Color Overmolded Knife Handle

This project stood out for its high production volume, short lead time, and strict appearance requirements. Overmolded products are naturally prone to low production efficiency, but through comprehensive solutions including optimized cooling systems, we accelerated production speed by nearly 30%.

Precision Overmolded Headlamp Housing

As part of the client’s premium product line, this project demanded both a refined appearance and a sense of precision. Due to its small size and complex design, issues such as edge flash were likely to occur. With our comprehensive production solutions, we successfully delivered the desired visual effect.

Transparent Compact Precision Clip

Defects are highly visible on transparent parts, especially silver streaks. At the same time, precise tolerances were required to ensure consistent opening and closing performance. Through high-precision mold development, strict material drying, and process control, we successfully met the customer’s requirements.

Frosted High-Strength Cover Plate

Part of the client’s premium product line, this cover required consistent frosted texture and refined engraving details. Through optimized ejection, cooling, and runner design, we achieved a flawless surface with no visible demolding or ejector marks.
