The company established its second manufacturing facility in Zhangqi Town, Cixi, also a central hub for mold manufacturing in the region. Collaborating closely with Plant No. 1, this expansion enables TIANTEC to provide customers with higher-quality and more cost-effective mold manufacturing services.

The company expanded its capabilities into metal manufacturing, establishing a strong presence in the sector. Serving a broad range of industries including high-end sanitary ware, hand and power tools, automotive components, and home appliance parts.

A new manufacturing facility was completed in Longshan Town, Cixi — the region’s hub for mold manufacturing. Its location within the local mold market provided significant cost advantages through easy access to equipment and materials. The company was officially renamed from Mingsong Plastic & Hardware Factory to Cixi TIANTEC Plastics Co., Ltd.

Formed a strategic partnership with Great Star, a leading global manufacturer in the hand tools industry, providing contract production of plastic components for both hand tools and power tools.

The Mingsong Plastic & Hardware Factory was officially founded, marking the transformation of the independent workshop into a full-scale manufacturing enterprise.

To meet growing client demands, the independent workshop invested in injection molding machines to provide contract manufacturing services. Early production focused on cosmetic containers and tool cases, earning the workshop a solid reputation within the local industry.

Founder Mingsong Qiu entered the mold manufacturing industry as an apprentice. At the time, on the eve of China’s WTO accession, the demand for skilled mold engineers was surging. Through dedication and exceptional learning ability, he mastered in one year what usually required three, and soon established an independent workshop to design and manufacture injection
